Leather Care Guide
We recommend that you purchase a leather moisturiser and apply to your hat regularly to maintain optimum condition.
It is not recommended that your leather hat be stored long term in it’s bag. Best storage would be placed flat on its brim.
Please ensure your leather hat is not exposed to extreme heat. For example leaving your hat under the back window of the car in warm weather.
Cleaning and care products for your leather hat can be purchased at your local shoe repair/care outlet. We recommend that you take your hat with you so that the best product can be determined depending on the leather of your hat.
Why maintain leather?
Leather is a natural material, which is sensitive to heat and moisture.
Exposure to extreme heat will cause the natural fibres of the leather to dry out which may cause shrinkage and the brim to curl.
Leather fibres contract when they lose moisture and regain length when they gain moisture.
To return moisture back into the leather follow our instructions located in our Leather Shrinkage guide.
