Caring for Canvas Hats
Barmah Hats are sturdy and durable. With a small amount of care your Barmah Hat will give you many years of service. To care for your Barmah Hat we recommend the following:
Canvas Care Guide
Lightly brush any dust.
For small cleaning jobs sponge the mark with warm water, and a mild detergent.
For larger cleaning jobs, your canvas hat can be immersed in water, and gently hand washed with a 1:3 solution of Bleach. However, please ensure the hat is flushed thoroughly with clean water within 20 minutes.
It is not recommended that you put your canvas hat in the washing machine.
Why maintain Canvas?
While canvas is a tough and durable material it’s still important to perform regular maintenance, especially with heavy use.
Regular maintenance will help ensure your Barmah Canvas Hat is easier to clean, long lasting and comfortable to wear.
Keep an eye out for areas of your canvas hat that may need spot cleaning. For example the sweatband may need gentle cleaning to remove any perspiration and grime from wear and tear.
